eating in public

I had to repost this because it just puts things into perspective so well. Enjoy!
There are few things less attractive than a person eating. People who do so in public should be charged with indecent exposure. At the very least, they should apologize to all the other folk in the vicinity. If they can’t cover their naked mouths then they should stay at home! Read More…
hybrid diapers
We get it all the time, “Do you carry those diapers, you know – the ones you flush?” The thing is, we only carry products we think are great. Amazing even. Those flushable diapers are not great, amazing, or even good (in most circumstances). Now, if you have no access to laundry facilities, and you want to make a green-er choice when it comes to diapers – this may be your only option (save for elimination communication). But we think it is a last ditch option. Here are the reasons why: Read More…
chemicals and our kids
I just recently learned that the second leading cause of death for children ages 1-14 is cancer. That’s right. Accidents are first and homicide is not even on the list – contrary to what the sensationalist media would have you believe! In fact, violent crime against children has been decreasing slowly in the past 50 years. So, why don’t we hear about this cancer problem more often? And more importantly, why is this happening? Children are born healthy. Cancer should hit old and weak immune systems the hardest, right? Well, when synthetic and largely untested chemicals are touching the smallest of our population almost all day long, the results can’t be good. Keep in mind that your child is a fraction of this size, and will not be able to process these toxic chemicals as efficiently as adults. Please use caution.” In fact, parents are led to believe exactly the opposite. Labels tout safety while hiding dangerous carcinogens and endocrine disruptors. From acid in baby food jars to 1,4 dioxane in the lotion that makes her smell so delicious, your baby is being exposed to yucky things all day every day. So what’s a good mommy and daddy to do? Here are a five easy steps to detoxifying your baby:
