I just recently learned that the second leading cause of death for children ages 1-14 is cancer. That’s right. Accidents are first and homicide is not even on the list – contrary to what the sensationalist media would have you believe! In fact, violent crime against children has been decreasing slowly in the past 50 years. So, why don’t we hear about this cancer problem more often? And more importantly, why is this happening?
